We are thrilled to have won the innovation of the year award 2107 for Durham, Sunderland and South Tyneside.
The awards celebrate some of the best companies in the North East, with heats taking place in three parts of the region – Tyneside and Northumberland; Durham, Sunderland and South Tyneside; and Teesside – and the winners then going to the regional final in April.
Organised by The Journal and their sister paper on Teesside, The Gazette, the awards are held in association with the North East England Chamber of Commerce.

Innovation Award Overview:
Purpose of Competition-
To identify and reward the company which has launched the most innovative new product/service in the North East in the calendar year 2016.
The judges will consider all aspects of an innovative new product/service launch, including research and development, launch activity and the actual or likely commercial success of the product/service. Key success factors will include; degree of innovation, time taken to market, design process/best practice, market edge, USP, potential for growth/competition and profitability. Other factors might include job creation/safeguarding, environmental sustainability, use of teamwork, project management capability, customer delight/novelty factor and use of market research. Development to prototype stage only is expressly excluded from this award.
